Swank Builders Inc. in Flint, MI is seeking an Experienced Lead Carpenter to oversee and perform residential remodeling projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, schedules, and safety on every site.

Requirements include 5+ years of residential remodeling or carpentry, proven crew leadership, ability to read blueprints, and skilled framing, finish carpentry, trim work and cabinetry installation with local Genesee County travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of residential remodeling or carpentry experience.
• Proven experience leading crews or managing job sites.
• Strong knowledge of framing, finish carpentry, and residential construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential remodeling projects including kitchens, bathrooms, and home additions.
• Supervise carpenters and coordinate subcontractors on job sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
• Perform framing, finish carpentry, trim work, and cabinetry installation.
• Coordinate materials and schedules with project managers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
• Communicate professionally with clients, team members, and subcontractors.
• Utilize construction management software (Buildertrend or similar; training provided).
