Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to drive AI/ML powered agent development within the Commercial & Investment Bank Digital & Platform Services. You will guide teams, design production-grade agents, and implement scalable, secure solutions in a federated production environment.

The role emphasizes memory design, multi-agent workflows, and strong cloud and SDLC discipline, with collaboration across product and business partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering with 4+ years in AI/ML solutions.
• Hands-on experience delivering design, development, testing and operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to business and technical teams.
• Design and ship production agents across the federated portfolio.
• Build retrieval using Graph RAG with vector search and grounding.
• Design agent memory with episodic and semantic memory and recall policies.
• Own context management for entitlement, lineage, and tenancy-aware data.
• Compose multi-agent workflows using A2A and integrate tools through MCP servers (Bitbucket, Confluence, Databricks, Kubernetes, Snowflake, Splunk).
• Build and run evals, including end-to-end agent evaluations and safety gates.
• Deploy and operate solutions on AWS and/or Azure with strong SDLC, security, resiliency, and observability.
• Partner with product and business partners to turn use cases into shipped agents.
• Act as SME in focus areas and contribute to firmwide SDLC frameworks and practices.
