Job summary
Northern Trust in Chicago seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to drive the technical development of the AI-powered Code Scanner platform. You will own architecture, front-end React interfaces, Python back-end services, and cloud integrations with Azure, focusing on secure, scalable code analysis.
You will build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, enhance AI-assisted vulnerability detection, and collaborate across security, DevOps, and product teams to deliver robust security
Qualifications
- 12+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise-scale environments.
- Experience building security scanning or DevSecOps platforms is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of front-end and back-end architecture, APIs, and secure SDLC practices.
Responsibilities
- Own platform ownership and lead the AI Code Scanner platform development.
- Develop and enhance the React-based front-end and Python-based orchestration services.
- Build and extend integrations with Azure AI Foundry and AI/LLM security analysis capabilities.
- Design and maintain GitHub Actions workflows; manage CI/CD pipelines and runner infra.
- Improve automation, observability, reliability, and deployment of cloud-based services.
- Collaborate across security, DevOps, and product teams to deliver secure tooling for enterprise systems.
