Job summary

Northern Trust in Chicago seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to drive the technical development of the AI-powered Code Scanner platform. Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise-scale environments.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Lead Software Engineer to support technical development of our AI-powered Code Security Scanner platform. This platform leverages Generative AI and advanced security automation to identify , validate , and report software vulnerabilities across enterprise codebases.

The platform consists of:

• React-based web application and user dashboard
• Python-based orchestration and scanning framework
• Azure AI Foundry integrations
• Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and cloud-native services
• Containerized scanning environments and security controls

This role will be responsible for ongoing development, architectural evolution, and long-term enhancement of the platform. The successful candidate must be equally comfortable designing user-facing applications, building automation, integrating AI services, and securing cloud-native solutions.
