Job summary

Intuitive Surgical seeks a Senior Manager, Advanced Systems Engineering to lead tech development across a portfolio of energy delivery platforms. This role owns objectives, budgets, staffing, and schedules for several concurrent programs, and guides cross-functional teams to mature concepts from benchtop to bedside.

The ideal candidate has deep technical breadth, extensive leadership experience, and a track record of delivering complex medical devices within regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications

• BS in an engineering discipline; advanced degree strongly preferred.
• 10+ years in development within regulated environments; people mgmt exp.
• Experience leading multiple teams or programs concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Own objectives, plans, staffing and budgets for multiple concurrent advanced-energy programs.
• Set architecture strategy and technical evaluation criteria for the portfolio.
• Lead risk registers, verification plans and test-method development.
• Represent portfolio to senior leadership and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Drive talent development and cross-functional collaboration.
