Job summary

Latham & Watkins is seeking an Associate Recruiting Manager - Lateral Associates to shape how the firm attracts top talent. You will partner with practice groups, offices, and leadership to design tailored recruiting strategies and lead searches from planning through hire.

This role also manages the recruiting team and collaborates with external search firms. The position offers opportunities to leverage data-driven decisions in a hybrid, in-office role located in New York, Chicago, or

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in legal recruitment, preferably with ownership over lateral associate recruiting.
• 2+ years of experience leading, supervising, or developing others.
• Experience using data and market information to identify trends and support decisions.

Responsibilities

• Partnering with practice, department, and office leaders to develop tailored lateral associate recruiting strategies.
• Lead lateral searches from strategy through interviews, offers, and hires.
• Develop relationships with external search firms and vendors; evaluate performance and negotiate fees.
• Prepare recruiting statistics and market updates aligned with practice group needs.
• Organize staff work, delegate tasks, and conduct performance evaluations.
