Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 6+ years of medical stop loss underwriting experience, large group focus preferred.
• Experience managing complex cases, new business and renewal underwriting.
• Understanding of top loss market dynamics and emerging risk trends.
• Mentor for underwriting staff and subject matter expert.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate large group employer benefit plans from a Stop Loss perspective and analyze risk.
• Develop and justify pricing using underwriting tools and actuarial models.
• Drive new business and renewals while maintaining profitability targets.
• Monitor profitability and key metrics across an assigned block of business.
• Coordinate with brokers, consultants and cross-functional teams to support policy issues, premium collection and claim approvals.
