Job summary

Winixx Inc. is seeking a Senior Language Tooling Engineer to build the .wnx developer tooling, including the Language Server Protocol, with real-time type-checking data exposed to tooling and robust autocomplete, refactoring, and inline diagnostics from day one.

You will work closely with the Compiler Frontend team to expose type-checking data to tooling, develop a code formatter and linter for .wnx, and ensure editor integration remains fast and responsive for large projects; visa sponsorship

About Winixx

Winixx Inc. is a New York-based technology holding company operating a portfolio of over 35 SaaS platforms across freight, fleet management, financial infrastructure, and market intelligence. We are building WinixxOS — a distinctive, AOSP-based operating system powering a full lineup of consumer hardware — and, over a multi-year horizon, .wnx, a proprietary programming language designed to be announced alongside WinixxOS. This is founding-team language engineering: you would be shaping the core type system, memory model, and syntax of a new language from its very first version, not extending someone else’s spec.

Role Summary

The Senior Language Tooling Engineer builds .wnx's developer tooling — the Language Server Protocol (LSP) implementation that gives Winixx Studio real autocomplete, refactoring, and inline diagnostics from day one, rather than bolting tooling on after the language ships.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement the .wnx Language Server Protocol (LSP) integration
• Build autocomplete, go-to-definition, refactoring, and inline diagnostic support for Winixx Studio
• Work closely with the Compiler Frontend team to expose type-checking and diagnostic data to tooling in real time
• Build a code formatter and linter for .wnx
• Collaborate with the Winixx Studio team (IDE) to ensure tight editor integration
• Establish tooling performance targets so large .wnx projects stay responsive in the editor

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of developer tooling experience, ideally including direct LSP or IDE-integration implementation
• Experience building editor tooling (autocomplete, diagnostics, refactoring) for a programming language
• Familiarity with compiler internals sufficient to expose them to tooling correctly
• Strong sense for developer experience and editor responsiveness
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

The compensation range reflected in this posting represents the minimum and maximum target range for this position. Individual pay within the posted range is determined by a candidate’s demonstrated experience, educational background, skill set, and geographic location. Final compensation is established at the time of offer and may fall anywhere within the stated range based on these factors.
