Job summary

Jensen Landscape Construction in Milpitas is seeking an estimator/administrator to support Project Managers with takeoffs, plan analysis, subcontractor relations, and documentation. The role blends estimating, clerical duties, and coordination across planning, purchasing, and field teams.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, five years’ experience in construction/landscape work, and proficiency with MS Office and Take-Off software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in construction or administration.
• Five years' experience in construction, estimating, or landscape construction.
• State/federal licenses as required and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with estimatings, administration, and clerical tasks.
• Analyze plans and specs to prepare material lists.
• Detail revisions to project plans and specs.
• Manage communications for revisions, change orders, and addenda.
• Track plan revisions and subcontractor pricing.
• Administer communications with contractors and architects.
• Distribute plans to subcontractors as required.
• Coordinate quotes for site furnishings and plant materials.
• Assist field supervisors with project information.
• Review contracts and scope of work on assigned projects.
• Maintain RFIs and Change Order logs.
• Coordinate with purchasing to orders and deliveries of long-lead items.
• Manage subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, billings, and closeouts.
• Support Submittal process and log updates.
• Coordinate site furnishing submittals with purchasing and field.
• Oversee close-out coordination: as-builts and warranty letters.
