Job summary

Ruppert Landscape seeks an Area Manager for landscape maintenance, overseeing a portfolio of commercial accounts. You will lead field and support teams to ensure top-quality service, client relations, profitability, and safe work practices across assigned sites.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years in service/project management, strong financial acumen, and leadership to drive growth and operating excellence. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in customer service and team or project management in related industry.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in a relevant field.
• Strong understanding of financial & operational management, including P&L, budgeting, forecasting, job costing, and contracts.
• Proven leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
• Valid driver's license with clean three-year record.
• Working knowledge of landscape maintenance operations and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational and financial performance of a portfolio of landscape maintenance accounts.
• Recruit, develop, and lead high-performing field teams.
• Analyze P&L, job costing, labor efficiency, and forecasting to drive profitability.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and landscape enhancements.
• Prepare estimates, proposals, and contracts for maintenance and upgrades.
• Develop landscape management plans aligned with client expectations and sustainability goals.
• Oversee production schedules and crew performance within labor budgets and timelines.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and nurture long-term client relationships.
• Ensure equipment and assets are properly maintained per safety standards.
