Job summary

Snipebridge is partnering with an award-winning landscape architecture studio in California to recruit a Senior Designer who will lead design teams and partner with PMs and Partners on complex projects across multiple offices in the state, ensuring design quality from concept through documentation.

You will shape the project narrative, guide workflows, manage budgets, mentor junior staff, and maintain rigorous attention to planting design and horticultural considerations across Mediterranean and

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture
• Licensed Landscape Architect (CA license preferred)
• Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship now or in the future
• Minimum of 15 years in a high-level design leadership position
• Knowledge of California Native and Mediterranean plants and planting design
• Training in horticulture and awareness of best practices in planting

Responsibilities

• Guide project teams through the studio process, providing design direction and oversight for Project Managers
• Attend early design/site meetings and capture big-picture ideas to inform the project story
• Develop a project story document and communicate the vision to PMs and Design Staff
• Provide regular updates to Partners regarding project status and needs
• Coordinate with Project Managers on project budgets and report progress regularly
• Present to project teams when needed in collaboration with or on behalf of Partners
• Be versed in Project Workflow and PM job descriptions to guide PMs in the firm's standards
• Provide guidance for PMs on design direction, priority setting, and deliverable expectations
