Job summary

SNIPEBRIDGE is seeking a Senior Associate to lead landscape architecture projects, guide client relationships, and mentor teams in a Miami-based studio known for award-winning, site-responsive environments.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on design excellence, technical quality, and delivering projects from concept through construction administration, ensuring the highest standards are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited college or university.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary projects through multiple phases of design and construction.
  • Strong knowledge of site grading, technical detailing, permitting, construction documentation, and construction administration.
  • Proven ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and financial performance.
  • Experience developing proposals and supporting contract or additional-service negotiations.
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Active professional Landscape Architect license (Preferred).
  • Experience leading complex, design-intensive residential, hospitality, cultural, public‑realm, or institutional projects.
  • Demonstrated success mentoring designers and developing high‑performing project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project design deliverables according to contract terms and guidelines.
  • Preparation of documents for Founding Principal’s use
  • Executes assigned research and investigation tasks such as site analysis
  • Creates analytical and conceptual drawings, graphics, and 3D models
  • Develop and coordinate all aspects of project design from conceptual sketches through to construction documentation under the guidance of the Project Manager
  • Initiate creative problem solving and contribute to collaborative design environment
  • Prepare and manage design presentation packages
  • Prepare and manage drawing sets
  • Work with the Project Manager to draft project workplans and task lists
  • Manage and accurately organize all incoming project data from clients and consultants
  • Coordinate with external design teams to receive, process, integrate and respond to design updates as needed
  • Oversee aspects of your internal team including tracking task/deliverables progress, drafting meeting minutes and action items
  • Represent firm in client, design team and public meetings as needed
  • Coordinate with and mentor junior team members
  • Visit project sites to coordinate with contractors and monitor construction during the project build/installation process
  • Manage and respond to RFIs as needed
  • May require domestic or international travel for client meetings and/or project site visits

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Associate will provide leadership across project delivery, client relationships, team development, and financial management. This individual will guide complex landscape architecture projects through the complete project life cycle while maintaining the firm’s standards for design excellence, technical quality, and professional service.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for an experienced landscape architect who can balance creative problem‑solving with disciplined project management. The Senior Associate will serve as a trusted client partner, mentor project teams, manage scope and financial performance, and help ensure that design intent is successfully carried through documentation, permitting, construction administration, and closeout.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited college or university
  • 6 to 8 years of professional experience in landscape architecture or a closely related design field
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary projects through multiple phases of design and construction
  • Strong knowledge of site grading, technical detailing, permitting, construction documentation, and construction administration
  • Proven ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and financial performance
  • Experience developing proposals and supporting contract or additional-service negotiations
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is required. Experience with recent releases of Sketchup, Rhino, Autodesk Revit are beneficial.
  • Active professional Landscape Architect license (Preferred)
  • Experience leading complex, design-intensive residential, hospitality, cultural, public‑realm, or institutional projects
  • Demonstrated success mentoring designers and developing high‑performing project teams
