Job summary

Umbrella Property Services in Mokena, IL is seeking a Crew Lead to run a two-person landscape maintenance crew on our Chicagoland commercial route. Pay ranges from $20 to $25 per hour on W-2 or $22 to $27 per hour on 1099, offering a senior role on the truck and accountability for quality across sites.

You will lead the crew, ensure curb appeal, and manage winter plowing as needed, with health benefits and full-time stability.

Qualifications

• Prior experience leading landscape crews.
• Snow plowing experience and ability to plow winter routes.
• Comfort towing 20-foot trailers and having a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a small landscape crew across assigned commercial properties.
• Oversee lawn maintenance, shrub and tree trimming, and bed and mulch installation.
• Run fertilization and turf care applications on schedule.
• Manage spring and fall cleanups across the route.
• Take on snow plowing, salting, and winter site management when the season turns.
• Document work, photos, and site notes using our company systems.
