Job summary

Sperber Landscape Companies is seeking an experienced General Superintendent – Construction to lead our landscape construction field operations in Florida. You will oversee the branch workforce, guide field leadership, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably in line with customer and contract expectations.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, budgeting, scheduling, and on-site supervision of crews and equipment to deliver high-quality landscape construction

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience leading field operations in landscape/construction.
• 10+ years of experience with general contractors or specialty contractors, with labor/production knowledge.
• 5+ years overseeing large construction equipment including crane operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the branch’s field workforce by recruiting, hiring, training, developing, and evaluating employees.
• Adhere to project budgets, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring financial performance.
• Direct the execution of landscape construction projects to meet plans, contracts, schedules, and budgets.
• Provide leadership and coaching to Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews to improve productivity and workmanship.
• Review field operations through site visits, identifying challenges and taking action to resolve issues.
