Job summary

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in landscaping or lawn maintenance.
• Two+ years of experience managing a crew.
• Ability to read plans and accurately execute layouts.
• Knowledge of native plants and plant materials.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred for safety proficiency.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred for effective crew communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead crew members and crew leaders to install landscaping according to project plans and specifications on commercial and residential properties.
• Delegate tasks and train new crew members and crew leaders to perform work efficiently and safely.
• Track project progress and maintain accountability for high-quality completion.
• Conduct daily planning with the Landscape Superintendent.
• Ensure assigned client projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Read and execute installation plans and perform accurate plant material layout.
• Maintain project schedules and support on-time production goals.
• Ensure crews have the necessary tools, equipment, and materials to complete work.
• Perform landscape installation tasks including laying sod, planting trees/shrubs/ground cover/annuals.
• Operate construction equipment (skid steers, excavators, tractors, sod cutters, tillers, augers, trenchers, loaders).
• Ensure safety and avoid damage to other trades; enforce PPE usage and safety protocols.
