Job summary

ERM in Denver, CO is seeking an experienced Managing Consultant, Landscape Architecture to lead landscape design for large-scale energy and infrastructure projects across North America. You will influence siting, permitting, and environmental assessments while guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver defensible analyses.

You’ll manage scopes, schedules, budgets, and client relationships, mentor staff, and travel as needed within a dynamic sustainability consultancy.

Qualifications

  • Valid licensure as a Registered Landscape Architect
  • A digital portfolio available for review via a website, linked drive, etc.
  • BA/BS in Landscape Architecture or related field, plus 5–10 years of landscape architecture experience.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and related software.
  • Proven success managing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and client relationships.
  • Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to travel across a large geographic area.
  • This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to environmental impact assessments, land planning, facility siting, and permitting for large-scale energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Produce, manage, and review Visual Impact Assessments (VIAs) and related technical deliverables.
  • Coordinate and integrate work from multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a task manager or project manager, overseeing budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Mentor technical staff and foster a collaborative, high-performing project environment.
  • Conduct site visits and maintain direct client communication to support successful project delivery.
