Job summary

ERM is seeking a Managing Consultant, Landscape Architecture in Houston to lead landscape design on large-scale energy and infrastructure projects across North America, guiding siting, permitting, and regulatory strategy with multidisciplinary teams.

You will develop landscape and site designs, manage scopes, schedules and budgets, mentor staff, and collaborate with GIS and visualization experts to produce defensible analyses and VIAs that support responsible development and client objectives.

Qualifications

  • Registered Landscape Architect license
  • Digital portfolio available for review
  • BA/BS in Landscape Architecture plus 5–10 years of experience
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proven success managing project scopes, schedules, budgets and client relationships
  • Driver's License required for travel
  • Not eligible for immigration sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Lead environmental impact assessments, land planning, facility siting and permitting for large-scale energy and infrastructure projects
  • Produce, manage and review Visual Impact Assessments (VIAs) and related deliverables
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Serve as task/project manager, overseeing budgets, timelines and quality standards
  • Mentor technical staff and foster a collaborative project environment
  • Conduct site visits and maintain direct client communication to support delivery
