Job summary

KM Engineering, based in Boise, Idaho, seeks a Senior Landscape Architect to lead and grow our Landscape Architecture practice. You will oversee projects, mentor staff, and drive business development while collaborating with engineers, planners, and environmental professionals to deliver exceptional public and private developments.

The ideal candidate holds a PLA/RLA license, has 8+ years of experience, and can manage multidisciplinary projects from proposal through construction, using AutoCAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture.
• Current PLA/RLA license; Idaho reciprocity supported.
• Independently manage landscape architecture projects from proposal through construction.
• 8+ years of related professional experience.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and related design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead landscape architecture projects from concept through construction.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
• Develop site layouts, streetscape designs, park plans, planting plans, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, planners, and environmental professionals.
• Build and maintain client and agency relationships.
• Participate in proposal development and project pursuits.
• Mentor junior staff and support professional development.
• Prepare and oversee production of landscape architecture plans, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
