KM Engineering is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to lead and grow our Landscape Architecture practice in Idaho. You will oversee projects from concept through construction, mentor staff, and contribute to business development on public and private developments.

The role requires a PLA/RLA license, 8+ years of experience, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, with strong client relationships and communication

• Current PLA/RLA license; Idaho reciprocity supported.
• 8+ years of related experience and ability to manage multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

KM Engineering is a multidisciplinary consulting firm providing civil engineering, surveying, planning, landscape architecture, and environmental services throughout Idaho and the surrounding region. We are seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to help lead and grow our Landscape Architecture practice while collaborating with a team of experienced professionals on impactful public and private development projects.

Position Summary

This role is ideal for a licensed Landscape Architect who enjoys both project leadership and relationship building. The successful candidate will oversee projects, mentor staff, contribute to business development efforts, and play a key role in delivering exceptional results to our clients, .

Responsibilities

• Lead landscape architecture projects from concept through construction.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
• Develop site layouts, streetscape designs, park plans, planting plans, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, planners, and environmental professionals.
• Build and maintain client and agency relationships.
• Participate in proposal development and project pursuits.
• Mentor junior staff and support professional development.
• Prepare and oversee production of landscape architecture plans, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
• Help shape the growth and direction of the firm's landscape architecture practice.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture.
• Current Professional Landscape Architect (PLA/RLA) license; candidates licensed in another state are encouraged to apply and KM Engineering will support Idaho reciprocity.
• Ability to independently manage landscape architecture projects from proposal through construction.
• 8+ years of related professional experience.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and related design software.
