Job summary

KM Engineering in Boise, Idaho seeks an experienced Land Planner for a full-time role. You will lead land-use planning and entitlement efforts, act as the main contact for clients and public agencies, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to move projects from due diligence to public approval and recording.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of progressively responsible experience in land planning or related field.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of land-use regulations and entitlement processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead land use planning and entitlement projects from initial research through agency approval.
• Serve as primary planning contact for clients, staff, and stakeholders.
• Interpret zoning codes, comprehensive plans, and subdivision ordinances to guide projects.
• Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and landscape architects to deliver plans.
• Prepare entitlement applications (subdivisions, annexations, rezon es, variances) and related documents.
• Present projects in public meetings and hearings.
