Job summary

BKV Corporation is seeking a Landman II to independently manage complex subsurface land assignments supporting development, operations, and asset value. You will negotiate oil and gas leases, JOAs, and joint venture agreements while liaising with mineral owners, regulators, and internal teams to ensure compliant, efficient operations.

The role requires strong negotiation, detailed title analysis, and coordination across departments to align land activities with project schedules and growth

Qualifications

• Knowledge of subsurface and surface land practices, oil and gas leases, title, and agreements.
• Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to interpret legal descriptions, plats, surveys, leases, and title documents.
• Familiarity with upstream development planning and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and reports with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze leasehold, mineral ownership, working interest, and related rights.
• Negotiate and secure oil and gas leases, JOAs, and joint venture agreements.
• Expand lease footprint via farms, acquisitions, and retention activities.
• Serve as liaison with landowners, agencies, and external parties.
• Protect BKV rights and identify new revenue opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal teams to align land activities with schedules.
• Research title and surface rights to identify obligations and remedies.
• Support staking of wells, pipelines, and infrastructure.
• Drive data/document management improvements in land processes.
• Maintain land records, calendars, and reports for compliance and audits.
• Identify risks and escalate complex issues to leadership.
• Mentor junior land professionals and field resources.
• Assist New Ventures with data intake for acquisitions.
