Job summary

EOG Resources, Inc. is seeking a Landman with 5+ years of in‑house oil and gas experience to lead lease acquisitions and the drafting and negotiation of a broad range of agreements. The role emphasizes supervision of brokers and cure of title issues, with a preference for Appalachian Basin exposure.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong negotiation skills, teamwork, and a Bachelor’s degree (PLM preferred), with the level commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of in-house oil and gas experience, preferably including work in the Appalachia Basin.
  • Experience drafting Operating, Farmin (F/I), and Farmout (F/O) Agreements
  • Proven ability to supervise brokers, acquire leases, and cure title issues
  • Strong negotiation and ability to work collaboratively on multiple projects in a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree required; Petroleum Land Management (PLM) degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, interpret, negotiate, acquire and prepare oil and gas leases and related agreements (including Farmin/Farmout, Joint Venture, Joint Operating, Participation, and Exploration Agreements).
  • Examine and cure requirements set forth in drilling and division order title opinions.
  • Supervise lease brokers and manage prospect lease acquisitions and associated expenditures.

  • Bachelor's degree required; Petroleum Land Management (PLM) degree preferred
