Job summary

EOG Resources is seeking an experienced Landman to analyze, interpret, and negotiate oil and gas leases and related agreements in the Ohio region. The role involves overseeing broker activity, curing title issues, and coordinating lease acquisitions associated with multiple projects in a collaborative team setting.

Applicants should have 5+ years in-house oil and gas experience, a Bachelor’s degree (PLM preferred), and strong negotiation skills to operate across Appalachian Basin activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required; PLM degree preferred.
  • Experience drafting Operating, Farm-in, Farmout and Joint Operating Agreements.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Analyze, interpret, negotiate, acquire, and prepare:
    • Oil and Gas Leases
    • Farmin/Farmout Agreements
    • Joint Venture Agreements
    • Joint Operating Agreements
    • Exploration Agreements
    • Participation Agreements
  • Examine and cure requirements set forth in drilling and division order title opinions
  • Supervise lease brokers and manage prospect lease acquisitions and associated expenditures
Job Requirements
  • Landman with 5+ years of in-house oil and gas industry experience, preferably including work in the Appalachia Basin
  • Experience in drafting a wide range of agreements, including Operating Agreements (O/A), Farmin (F/I), and Farmout (F/O) Agreements
  • Proven ability to supervise brokers, acquire leases, and cure title issues
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to work collaboratively on multiple projects in a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree required; Petroleum Land Management (PLM) degree preferred
