Norwood Land Services is seeking an experienced Senior Landman with a strong background in project management, title, acquisitions, and curative. Applicants must have 10+ years of verifiable oil and gas land experience with demonstrated experience managing projects and leading land teams.
Qualified candidates must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of overseeing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have the technical land experience necessary to review complex title and work product, while effectively managing project personnel, deadlines, deliverables, and client expectations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage oil and gas land projects from initial assignment through completion
- Lead and manage project teams of approximately 5-10 personnel
- Establish project workflows, priorities, assignments, and deadlines
- Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule
- Review landman work product for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Conduct and review complex mineral and leasehold title
- Identify title defects and provide direction on appropriate curative requirements
- Provide guidance on title, acquisition, and curative matters
- Assign workloads and monitor productivity across project teams
- Maintain project trackers, status reports, ownership reports, and supporting documentation
- Identify potential project issues and develop solutions to prevent delays
- Communicate project status, priorities, challenges, and deliverables to clients and management
- Coordinate between landmen, acquisition personnel, title teams, attorneys, clients, and administrative staff
- Establish and maintain quality-control standards for project work product
- Train, mentor, and provide guidance to project personnel
- Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and client priorities simultaneously

- 10+ years of verifiable oil and gas land experience
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and manage teams of 5-10 personnel
- Extensive title, acquisition, and curative experience
- Strong ability to review and interpret complex mineral and leasehold title
- Experience reviewing landman work product and providing quality control
- Strong understanding of mineral, royalty, working, and leasehold interests
- Proven ability to manage project schedules, priorities, and deliverables
- Experience communicating directly with clients and project stakeholders
- AAPL membership required

Compensation
- Annual salary: $85,000-92,000, based on experience and qualifications
