The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of verifiable leasing experience, be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work in a competitive environment. Responsibilities include preparing lease forms, negotiating with mineral owners, and maintaining tracking spreadsheets. Compensation is competitive and based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience in oil and gas leasing.
• Ability to utilize and navigate all relevant online resources.
• Experience in the Permian and/or Delaware Basin preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience managing personnel/resources.

Norwood Land Services is seeking an experienced Landman with extensive leasing experience. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years verifiable experience. Qualified candidates must be self‑motivated and detail oriented while working in a competitive and fast‑paced environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare lease forms and negotiate Oil & Gas leases with sophisticated mineral owners
• Build and maintain leasehold tracking spreadsheets
• Examine and interpret complicated mineral and leasehold title
• Have full understanding of modern lease language (lease analyst)
• Capable of curing gaps in title to find current ownership

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Energy Management, Land Management or Energy Commerce, but not required)
• Minimum 3 years experience, with preference for Permian and/or Delaware Basin
• Ability to utilize and navigate all relevant online resources
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat
• Management of personnel resources
• Meet deadlines and fulfill obligations

Compensation

• Competitive day rate based on experience and work product

Location

• Travel not required, but ability to travel is preferred
