The Senior Landman, working under limited supervision, is responsible for providing assistance in moderately complex land matters for oil and gas exploration and production activities. The role will work within an interdisciplinary team to manage a drilling and operations schedule that supports the company's goals and objectives. The role involves providing support in the evaluation and acquisition of oil and gas leases including determination of mineral and leasehold ownership. The role reviews title opinion and regulatory requirements, and consults with attorneys, other land professionals, and various stakeholders to resolve title issues, mitigate risks, and streamline processes. The role is responsible for the drafting, negotiation, interpretation, and maintenance of all agreements related to exploration and production.
Bachelor's Degree in Energy Management, Business Administration or any other related discipline, Juris Doctorate, and/or commensurate work experience is required.
5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in areas such as Leasing and Negotiation, Land Transaction Due Diligence, Contract Drafting or a related field. Industry experience is required. Preferably a member of Member American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL).
