Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in planning, landscape architecture, geography, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience interpreting and applying city/county planning codes and comprehensive plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Research: Perform property, zoning, and utility research for compliance with land use regulations.
• Application preparation: Prepare and submit materials for land use applications (subdivisions, zone changes, CUPs, site plans).
• Analysis: Break down complex issues affecting property, transportation, and utility infrastructure to assess feasibility.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with in‑house engineering, surveying, and landscape teams and permitting staff.
• Proposal development: Develop detailed scopes of work for proposals.
• Client interaction: Coordinate with clients on project data and scheduling.
• Meeting organization: Set up and attend neighborhood meetings.
• Project management: Create and maintain project schedules and milestones.
• Relationship building: Maintain positive relationships with coworkers, clients, and agencies.
• Travel: Able to travel occasionally, including overnights.
