Job summary

Hecla Mining Company in Coeur d'Alene, ID, seeks a Land Manager to own title and tenure across the US and Canada. You will manage multi-jurisdictional filings, maintain good standing of holdings, and coordinate with Canadian land counsel and contractors while protecting Hecla's mining rights.

You will implement and oversee a land management system, produce maps and reports for the Board, and ensure deadlines, budgets, and compliance are met with precision and discretion.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of progressive experience in land administration or mineral rights management in hard rock mining or natural resources.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a multi-jurisdictional portfolio with limited supervision.
• Title research across patented and unpatented mining claims and related leases.
• Knowledge of mining and mineral law as it applies to claims and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of BLM, USFS, and state lands frameworks and land status systems.
• Proficiency in GIS to maintain tenure datasets and maps.
• Experience administering land management systems and implementing platforms.
• Clear written and verbal communication for management and Board audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own title and tenure for holdings across multiple jurisdictions and ensure filings are current.
• Coordinate with Canadian land counsel and contractors on Yukon and other filings.
• Manage land budget, fees, royalties, and regulatory deadlines with precision.
• Oversee data, maps, and system integrity of land management platform.
• Prepare status reports on holdings, obligations, and tenure risk for Board review.
• Conduct due diligence for acquisitions, dispositions, and financings with confidentiality.
