Job summary

Benesch's Connecticut Division is seeking a Land Surveyor to join the Civil Engineering team. You will perform field data collection, staking activities, prepare survey drawings, and interact with clients and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has 8-10+ years of surveying experience, with expertise in topographic field work, boundary calculations, and plat creation, plus proficiency in Civil3D and ALTA/ACSM surveys. CT PLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of surveying experience.
• PLS certification in the State of Connecticut.
• Associate degree or higher in Survey & Geomatics, Survey Technology, or related surveying program preferred; HS diploma or GED required.
• 8-10+ years of experience in drafting plats and boundary calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to establish survey requirements and conduct surveys per standards and contract specs.
• Research records, perform calculations and analyze measurements for property locations and legal descriptions.
• Oversee final plat preparation and provide progress/budget/technical issue updates.
• Generate and review survey-related correspondence, assist in data compilation and ensure quality control.
