Job summary

Widseth Smith Nolting and Associates Inc is seeking a licensed Professional Land Surveyor with 5–8+ years of field and office experience to lead our boundary, ALTA/NSPS, construction staking, and topographic surveys. You will supervise field crews, manage projects from kickoff to closeout, and ensure quality and compliance with regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of boundary law, experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and Leica/Topcon workflows,

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) with 5–8+ years of land surveying experience.
• Proficient in boundary law, construction surveying, and local land use regulations.
• Strong ability to manage teams, projects, and client relationships.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Leica or Topcon workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead boundary, ALTA/NSPS, construction staking, and topographic surveys across diverse projects.
• Supervise and mentor field crews; provide technical direction and professional development.
• Manage survey projects from kickoff through closeout within timelines and budgets.
• Review plats, legal descriptions, right-of-way maps, and construction drawings.
