Job summary

Verdantas is seeking an experienced Professional Land Surveyor to serve as Group Leader for the Mid-Atlantic surveying team, overseeing a group across Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland. The role blends technical leadership with client relationship growth and business development within a collaborative, forward-thinking firm.

You will guide field operations, ensure QA/QC of surveys, and advance Reality Capture services while mentoring future leaders and expanding innovative surveying

Qualifications

• Must hold a PLS license in PA/DE/MD or obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
• 10+ years of progressive land surveying experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Proven ability to lead survey teams and manage complex projects.
• Strong client relationships and business development capabilities.
• Solid CAD/GIS workflows and survey data management expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of survey crew chiefs, technicians, and support staff across multiple offices.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development.
• Oversee client liaison for key accounts in Delaware and Maryland.
• Lead business development, including scoping, proposals, and interviews.
• Ensure technical oversight for boundary, topographic, ALTA surveys, and QA/QC.
• Support Reality Capture services and integrate workflows into projects.
