Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager with a strong background in land development for our Tampa, FL office.

The candidate will lead residential, commercial and industrial land development projects, directing design, planning and contract documentation while mentoring staff and engaging with clients and agencies. The role requires PE licensure in Florida (or within 6 months), 10+ years of land development experience, and exceptional communication skills to manage client

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Florida PE or eligible to obtain within 6 months.
• 10+ years of land development experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients, staff and agencies.
• Ability to work independently and make significant decisions.
• Strong project management experience.
• Experience in commercial or industrial land development is a plus.
• AutoCAD experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, planning, project delivery and related services within the area.
• Identify business opportunities and lead pursuit of Land Development projects.
• Maintain client relationships and provide leadership to the team.
• Provide guidance and technical expertise to the Land Development team.
• Mentor and develop other team members.
• Manage project performance including production, staffing, profitability and quality.
• Directly manage projects and supervise other project managers.
• Coordinate resources and enable cross-project worksharing across Halff.

Education

Bachelor or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering

Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida or able to obtain within 6 months

10+ years of Land Development experience

Strong communication with clients, staff and governmental agencies

Ability to work independently and make significant decisions

Project management experience

Experience in commercial or industrial land development is a plus
