Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Project Manager/Site Engineer to lead land development projects from pursuit through delivery in Cary, NC; Charlotte, NC; Columbia, SC; or Richmond, VA.

This senior role combines technical leadership with client relationship building, ensuring projects stay on time, within scope, and on budget while mentoring teammates. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related technical field required.
• 11+ years of professional experience, including 8 years of project management experience.
• PE or RLA license required.
• Demonstrated success expanding client bases and driving revenue growth.
• Established network of clients capable of generating new business opportunities.
• Strong experience managing client relationships and multi-project workloads.
• Proven ability to prepare proposals, manage project development, and support growth goals.
• Solid understanding of project accounting including budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence diverse audiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver land development projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, building long-term relationships and expanding client accounts.
• Actively pursue new business by leveraging an established professional network and pursuing leads.
• Prepare and oversee proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documentation.
• Manage project financials, including budgets, forecasts, billing, and cash flow.
• Interpret and administer client contracts and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Collaborate across disciplines and offices to deliver integrated solutions.
• Mentor and motivate team members while fostering internal relationships.
• Represent CHA through networking, industry involvement, and client engagement.
