Job summary

J2 is seeking a Land Development Associate/Senior Associate to provide technical leadership across planning, design, permitting, and construction support for site civil projects in Northern Virginia. You will oversee design QA/QC, guide rezoning and subdivision reviews, and ensure compliance with standards and client expectations.

Responsibilities include managing project budgets and schedules, supporting staffing, and mentoring teams while promoting a collaborative, people-first culture aligned

Qualifications

• Requires 8-12+ years in land development engineering with leadership roles.
• BS in Civil Engineering and a PE license or equivalent.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, scope and client relations.

Responsibilities

• Provide design oversight and technical leadership for site civil projects.
• Lead QA/QC of site civil deliverables to meet standards and client expectations.
• Manage project financial performance, including scope, schedule, and profitability.
• Mentor and develop project teams and assist with staffing and onboarding.
• Foster client relationships and support marketing and business development.
