Job summary

Roc Search seeks an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead land development projects from planning through permitting and construction. You will direct civil engineers and designers, coordinate with clients, architects, contractors and regulators, and drive project success across disciplines.

The role requires 8+ years in civil engineering with PM leadership, a strong grasp of site design, permitting, and budgeting, and travel as needed. PE preferred and on-site work in Dallas area.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of civil engineering experience with PM/senior leadership exposure
• Experience delivering private-sector land development and site design projects
• Strong understanding of civil site design incl. grading, drainage, utilities, roadways
• Familiarity with permitting and entitlement processes
• Experience developing fee proposals and pursuit materials
• Ability to cultivate relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and regulatory personnel
• Supervising and mentoring engineering/design professionals
• PE registration preferred; willingness to travel periodically

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of land development assignments from planning to construction
• Direct the work of civil engineers and designers on site development deliverables
• Serve as primary client contact coordinating with architects, contractors and stakeholders
• Coordinate with surveying, transportation, drainage/H&H teams to keep projects moving
• Engage with local jurisdictions through entitlement and permitting processes
• Review design packages to ensure consistency and quality across deliverables
• Assist with construction-related matters including RFIs and site visits
• Monitor project economics, staffing, budgets, fees and billing
• Identify new business opportunities through client relationships and proposals
• Provide direction and mentorship to junior and mid-level professionals
