Job summary

Windham School District is seeking a Network Specialist III to perform complex LAN and network system support across Windham campuses. The role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware and software to ensure reliable operation.

The position requires an associate degree in computer science or MIS and at least two years of network support experience, with substitutions allowed for additional education. Remote work readiness and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, MIS or related field.
• Two years full-time wage-earning network support experience.
• Each year of experience beyond two years may substitute for thirty semester hours.
• Technical or trade school courses in computer science or MIS may substitute for semester hours.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Windham campuses to perform computer system support and network management functions as needed and/or assigned.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot computer hardware and software.
• Monitor and solve information technology incidents.
• Assist users in changing passwords and troubleshoot account issues.
• Assist with installation and troubleshooting of LAN components such as routers, hubs, switches, and servers.
• Provide assistance with computer operations and recovery from equipment failure and problems.
• Ensure hardware setups, networks, and operating systems are maintained properly.
• Assist in automation of routine system management functions such as backups and server reboots.
