Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Test Engineer for a well-established aerospace and defense manufacturer. You will design, develop, implement, and maintain automated test equipment and test processes for electronic and avionics products, working across hardware and software with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities include LabVIEW-based software, design of test hardware and data acquisition, test procedures, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• Level II: 3+ years of related experience; Level III: 5+ years (8+ years preferred).
• Strong experience developing applications in LabVIEW.
• Experience designing and implementing Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
• Experience with National Instruments PXI-based systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and perform data acquisition.
• Understanding avionics or industrial protocols such as CAN, ARINC 429, RS-232, I2C.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support automated test equipment (ATE) systems.
• Create and maintain software applications using LabVIEW and related National Instruments platforms.
• Design test hardware, electrical interfaces, and data acquisition systems.
• Develop test procedures, validation plans, and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot test systems and identify root causes of product and equipment issues.
• Support new product development, sustaining engineering, and manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve testing processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and operational excellence.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance (Level III).
