Job summary

Twist Bioscience Corporation seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to join onsite in Wilsonville, OR. Lead development, validation, and integration of automated laboratory instrumentation and bioprocess technologies, interfacing hardware, software, and biology to drive quality.

You will design automated workflows, write integration scripts, and connect robotic systems with enterprise LIMS to ensure operational excellence under ISO 13485.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MS with 3 years, BS with 5 years in engineering fields.
• Experience in developing automated instrumentation for bioprocesses.
• Experience with DoE for testing and troubleshooting of processes.
• Scripting experience in C# or Python for lab automation systems.
• Interfaces between robotic instrumentation and LIMS (MES/Maestro, Twist build).
• Strong data analysis and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and release new processes to improve quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and test protocols, scripts, and systems to automate bioprocesses.
• Operate and maintain lab automation instruments and cross-integration systems.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Prepare documentation, knowledge transfer, and training materials.
• Follow ISO 13485 requirements.
