Job summary

Kavaliro seeks a Senior Labor and Employment Associate in Orlando, FL to advise and represent management on a wide range of labor and employment matters across industries. You will provide strategic legal counsel, handle complex litigation, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

The role requires a JD, active Florida bar, and at least five years of labor and employment litigation experience.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active Florida state bar admission in good standing.
• Preferable California bar admission or familiarity.
• Minimum 5+ years in labor and employment law with a focus on litigation.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to clients on labor and employment issues.
• Represent clients in labor and employment litigation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on labor and employment developments.
• Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery and trial prep.
• Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and handbooks.
• Advise on compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Conduct internal investigations and audits relating to employment practices.
• Provide training on labor and employment topics.
• Mentor and supervise junior associates and support staff.
• Participate in business development activities for the practice.
