Job summary

The position requires a Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a related biomedical field, MT/MLT certification preferred, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a biomedical discipline (Chemical, physical, biological, clinical lab science, or medical technology) or an Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology.
• MT or MLT certification from ASCP or other accredited certifying organization preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform preventive maintenance on laboratory instrumentation.
• Review testing, quality control, and other reports for accuracy and compliance with requirements.
• Release test data to Quality Assurance for batch release.
• Coordinate and release data from the data reduction software for import into the Laboratory Information System.
• Review and respond to Nonconforming Material Reports from collection centers.
• Adhere to laboratory quality control policies and document calibrations and maintenance.
• Perform duties of a Lab Technician as needed.
• Coordinate validation of instrumentation and software under supervision.
