Socket.dev in Torrance, CA is seeking a Senior Lab Technician to handle raw materials and product shelf-life testing, while performing routine laboratory duties and data management. The role emphasizes independent completion of assignments, adherence to SOPs, and maintaining a clean, safe lab environment in a fast-paced R&D setting.

You will work with scientists to support product development, manage inventories, and participate in taste evaluations with documented results in LIMS.

Qualifications

• Ability to prioritize, manage time, and multi-task independently based on business needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; inform key individuals of activities.
• Science laboratory responsibility experience (handling, testing, formulations).
• Capability to manage and translate data in MS Office; Excel, Word, Outlook, Agile, and LIMS.
• Self-directed to general administrative tasks such as shipping, submission for tests, and tracking.
• Be able to taste and evaluate raw materials and samples.
• Well-kept and hygienic regarding food safety and cross contamination.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bench top samples, perform physical/analytical test samples.
• Prepare/participate in samples for taste evaluations such as stability; document results in LIMS.
• Follow SOPs and learn processes as needed.
• Under general supervision, carry assignments to completion with substantial independence.
• Prioritize tasks and ensure timely, accurate delivery.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and calibration/maintenance schedules.
• Manage inventory of ingredients and lab supplies daily.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
