Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Applications Lab Specialist Technician to manage the Plastics Application Lab, perform testing, and support method development. You will calibrate equipment, prepare samples, evaluate materials, and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical or Polymer Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, or related field.
• Willingness to travel for training and complaint resolution.
• Strong written and oral communication with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
• Strong problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily activities of the Plastics Application Lab.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate lab equipment.
• Perform applications testing and report results.
• Assist with raw material evaluations.
• Prepare samples for internal testing.
• Assist with making and shipping customer samples.
• Assist in developing new test methods.
• Perform testing for production issues.
• Adhere to the Quality Management System.
