Job summary

Moog's Military Aircraft Group seeks a Senior Laboratory Technician for 2nd shift in Torrance, CA. The role focuses on environmental and functional testing of aircraft hardware, setting up and conducting tests, and analyzing data to support engineers.

The position requires a technical degree and at least eight years of test experience, with LabVIEW/DIAdem/MATLAB experience and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. On-site, with overtime and occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Engineering or technical degree or equivalent training.
• Eight years of progressively responsible test experience in mechanical/electronic environments.
• Experience with test instruments, data acquisition systems, and laboratory equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, test specifications, and documentation.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Model and follow the highest standards of lab and test-site safety.
• Independently set up units under test per approved procedures.
• Lead or independently conduct tests and monitor critical parameters.
• Collect, process, and analyze test data; prepare summaries and reports.
• Train and mentor technicians on test setup, safety, and equipment use.
