Job summary

Moog Military Aircraft Group is seeking a Senior Engineering Lab Technician for 2nd shift in Torrance, CA. You will independently set up and conduct environmental and functional tests on aircraft hardware, support test planning, analyze data, and guide engineers and technicians on procedures and safety.

The role requires a technical degree or equivalent with 8+ years of experience in test environments, hands-on use of test instruments, and strong communication across teams. U.S.

Qualifications

• Engineering or related technical degree or equivalent with 8+ years in testing environments.
• Military experience or equivalent considered for qualifications.
• Experience with test instruments, data acquisition systems, and lab equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specs, and documentation.
• Ability to communicate technical information across engineering, operations, quality, and safety.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and conduct tests per approved procedures.
• Analyze, summarize, and report test data for engineering review.
• Lead or independently conduct tests, monitor parameters, verify compliance.
• Maintain detailed test logs and document observations and corrective actions.
• Assist engineers with test equipment, instrumentation, and data-acquisition tasks.
• Participate in test planning, readiness reviews, and procedure reviews.
• Train and mentor junior technicians on test setup and safety.
