Job summary

Eli Lilly & Company in Richmond, VA is seeking a Senior Principal Scientist to provide technical leadership for the TS/MS laboratory startup and ongoing operation at a new GMP manufacturing facility.

You will lead design, qualification of equipment, data management, and development of lab protocols while mentoring scientists and collaborating with quality, regulatory, and other Lilly sites to meet startup objectives.

Qualifications

• Leadership of laboratory teams and technical leadership in startup environments.
• Experience in GMP pharmaceutical lab settings and managing academic labs is valued.
• Proven ability to mentor scientists and collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for design, startup and operations of the TS/MS lab.
• Lead equipment design, qualification and procurement; develop lab data management strategy.
• Create SOPs, protocols and work instructions; mentor laboratory scientists.
