Job summary

AbbVie seeks an experienced Lab Samples Operations lead to oversee deliverables and timelines for assigned clinical trials in a GLP environment. You will manage cross‑functional meetings, coordinate discrepancy resolution, and represent the LSO team in vendor discussions to ensure timely progress.

You will liaise with Bioanalysis and other departments to ensure priority deliverables are met, guiding data exchanges and the sample lifecycle across trials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or equivalent field of study.
• 6+ years of sample processing experience in a GLP regulated environment.
• Demonstrated leadership competencies with broad business orientation.
• Experience in cross‑functional team environments (IT, Bioanalysis, Clinical Systems).
• Knowledgeable in end‑to‑end sample lifecycle.
• Proficient with applicable LIMS software.
• Leader and key contributor to LSO initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Participates in vendor meetings to ensure representation for LSO and timely issue resolution.
• Manages all process flows and data exchanges with vendors or internal data providers/consumers.
• Assists with development of trial-specific SOW based on parameters with MSA and protocol.
• Participates in cross-functional meetings discussing LSO tasks.
• Improves existing processes and manages vendor budgets for trials.
• Develops collaborations with cross functional groups.
• Leads projects and coordinates activities as a team leader.
• Ensures compliance with SOPs and participates in QA audits.
• Manages sample storage volumes and lifecycle management.
