Job summary

SAB BIO is seeking a Clinical Sample Manager to lead planning, coordination, and execution of operational activities for global clinical trials. You will manage central laboratory and vendor relationships, ensuring timely, compliant lab services, sample management, and data delivery across projects.

The role requires 5+ years in clinical operations with at least 2 years in sample management, solid ICH-GCP knowledge, and strong cross-functional collaboration. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field required.
• 5+ years of clinical operations experience with 2+ years in clinical trial sample management.
• Experience managing central/clinical laboratory operations and vendors.
• Strong understanding of ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, and trial standards.
• Experience with data transfer specifications and data reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight of clinical trial service providers to meet study requirements and timelines.
• Serve as primary operations contact for laboratory vendors.
• Oversee lab vendor activities from startup to closeout, including setup, kit design, sample collection, and data delivery.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure proper handling of laboratory samples (PK/PD, biomarkers, etc.).
• Monitor site performance and communicate changes to lab procedures, shipping, and processes.
• Escalate vendor issues and drive CAPAs; manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
