Job summary

Cantos Ventures seeks a Laboratory Operations Manager to lead all lab operational infrastructure for Analytical Services in the United States. This player-coach role directly manages two Laboratory Management & Facilities Technicians and responsibilities include performance, development, and daily direction of the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8–10 years in progressive laboratory operations roles with GMP exposure.
• 3+ years in supervisory or management positions with direct reports.
• Experience leading teams through regulatory inspections (FDA/EMA or equivalent).
• Proven ability to build and improve lab management systems (SOPs, training, PM, inventory).

Responsibilities

• Directly manage, mentor, and develop Laboratory Operations technicians.
• Own GMP compliance, safety programs, and inspection readiness.
• Oversee instrument PM, procurement, and inventory management.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Analytical Services, QA/QC and regulators.
• Drive continuous improvement and implementation of new systems.
