Job summary

SGS in the United States is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to manage department growth, resources and daily production while ensuring training, quality management systems, and safety compliance are consistently met.

You will lead teams, review KPIs, coordinate with other functions, and provide technical support for clients and internal stakeholders, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Science with emphasis in chemistry or related field (Required).
• Must have 3-5 years in a management and/or supervisory role (Required).
• Associate’s Degree in Chemistry or similar discipline and minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories (sample analysis).

Responsibilities

• Manage department growth pathways by setting goals and evaluations.
• Oversee daily production and staffing to meet department and company targets.
• Ensure training, resources, and quality management system compliance.
• Promote a safe working environment and enforce health and safety procedures.
• Lead investigations and root cause analyses for incidents.
• Provide technical support to marketing, sales, customer service, and clients.
