TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Laboratory Assistant III to support pre-analytical workflow, specimen handling, and phlebotomy duties.

Responsibilities include dispatching phlebotomists, assisting technologists with specimen prep, and ensuring timely processing in a busy hospital laboratory. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in coordinating patient specimens and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Phlebotomy Course strongly preferred.
• 3+ years phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills are required.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle pre-analytical specimen processing and workflow management.
• Dispatch Phlebotomists throughout the facility as needed.
• Assist the Laboratory Technologists/Technicians with specimen preparation and testing as allowed.
• Perform blood collections when appropriate per TN Medical Laboratory Board guidelines.
